LabDesk Bridge

Press WHATSAPP on a report in LabDesk and the PDF is already attached when the chat opens in WhatsApp Web. You check it and press Send yourself.

What it does

Attaches the report, nothing else

LabDesk opens the patient's chat. The extension fetches that one report from LabDesk on the same computer and pastes it into the message box.

It never sends anything for you, never reads your chats or contacts, and has no access to the internet.

How it stays safe

One report, one time

LabDesk gives the extension a secret one-time code in the chat address. The report can be fetched once, within ten minutes, and only by a browser extension. Web pages cannot ask for it.

If the extension is not installed, LabDesk copies the report to the clipboard instead, and you press Ctrl+V.

Load it from a folder

  1. Download the extension zip and unzip it into a folder you will keep.
  2. Open chrome://extensions (Brave: brave://extensions).
  3. Switch on Developer mode, press Load unpacked and choose the folder.

Do not delete the folder afterwards, or the extension stops working.

Microsoft Edge

The Edge Add-ons listing is in review. Until it is live, Edge can load the same folder as Chrome: open edge://extensions, switch on Developer mode and press Load unpacked.

Firefox

The Firefox add-on is being submitted to addons.mozilla.org. It will install with one click once it is approved.

Click the extension's icon to see whether it can find LabDesk on this computer.

If something does not attach

Make sure LabDesk is open, then press WHATSAPP again. The report is also on the clipboard: click the message box in WhatsApp Web and press Ctrl+V.

WhatsApp Web changes its page from time to time. If the extension stops attaching, tell me what you see and I will fix it. Contact.
